The Italics exist because the voices of Brannon Hancock and Gloria Barrett found each other in 1997 while music students at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee. Those two voices, and the individuals possessed of them, fell deeply in love with each other, and lived happily ever after. They aspire to bring beautiful things into the world, their greatest contributions to date being their three children: Andrew, Joseph and Cecilia. They also make music.
The Italics currently make their home in Marion, Indiana, where Brannon and Gloria both work at Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University, as well as serving in worship and arts ministry in their local church.
